Questions Families Ask Us

Yes — Bedford Stuyvesant New Beginnings Charter Schools is a tuition-free public charter school. Families do not pay for any part of our program. There are no registration fees, no activity fees, and no uniform costs for high school students.
Bedford Stuyvesant New Beginnings Charter Schools accepts both new and returning enrollments. You can apply online or in person. Contact us directly to learn about open seats and next steps for your child's grade level.
We currently serve students in Kindergarten through Grade 11. Our K–8 program is housed in one building, and we continue to grow our high school program.
Transportation availability depends on your home address and eligibility. Please contact Bedford Stuyvesant New Beginnings Charter Schools directly so we can help determine what options may be available for your family.
We offer a fully inclusive educational model with two teachers in every classroom, as well as ESE support services and a Response to Intervention (RTI) Program that addresses the academic and social-emotional needs of all students.
School hours for grades K–8 are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. High school hours are 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Our free after-school program runs through the end of the school day and includes sports and tutoring.
